Giclee Printing
Giclee printing uses the latest technology in order to capture the original photograph's depth of colour. It does this using large scale, state of the art, inkjet printers and organic inks. Extremely fine droplets of ink are spurted onto the paper and this produces the high saturation and richness of colour.
Each picture is printed specifically for your order and is printed on textured German Etching paper (315 gm). All prints are produced by GA Graphics, in Lincoln.
I am using this paper and printing process as, together, they produce a softer image more akin to a watercolour painting than a photograph.
You should note that the inks are water based and can therefore 'run' if they come into contact with any liquid. I send the images out in a clear envelope so care should be taken as you open the package and frame the picture.
This is a photograph of one of the giclee prints - its resolution has been reduced for ease of web viewing but I hope it gives you an idea of the depth of colour and texture. (Click the image to view a larger one).
